Brad and Yumi were extremely friendly

Brad and Yumi were extremely friendly and helpful throughout my entire stay. They were helpful in getting to Nozawaonsen, provided plenty of advice on things to do around town and were both generally sociable whenever I bumped into them. The location is also very central and near a number of onsens and dining options. I absolutely recommend staying with them.

Really cool place

Really cool place, super nice people, in the middle of main hot springs. As a bonus - great breakfast.

Location was amazing

Brad and Yumi were such wonderful hosts! Location was amazing and close to everything. Although we were there at the end of the season, the lift closest to us was closed but it was such a short walk to the next lift! You can't get lost in this town either and if you do, you'll stumble across such cute bars/restaurants. Our hosts were so incredibly helpful right from greeting us at 1am when we arrived, organising our snowboard bags to be sent to the airport, helping us organise a day trip to Shiga Kogen (must do!) and helping us navigate. Breakfast was so delicious every morning and because you have to keep your shoes at the entrance to the rooms, everything was so clean! It's also connected to a delicious Thai restaurant/bar downstairs. Wifi was super fast as well and you also get a chrome cast attached to the TV yay. Highly recommend this place to everyone who is considering Nozawa :)

Stay here

Stay here. Very large, traditional tatami Japanese rooms with private bathroom and shower. Completely new. Located 30 seconds walk from two public Onsen. About 5minutes walk up to each gondola. Also on site at Tanuki is a nice basement bar and a Thai restraunt of good quality, which is also where breakfast is served. Breakfast is combination continental with the chef each morning cooking something specifically for you. Hosts are helpful and friendly. This is a very English-speaker friendly place (if that's what you want). Absolutely recommend it, excellent value. We will stay here next time without bothering to look anywhere else.

“Great place to stay and a near perfect location”

Yumi and Brad were great hosts, helping out with any questions we had. The rooms were basic but spacious. We stayed in room 3 with two people. It can sleep up to 5 and would be cramped then. Our room lacked enough cupboard hanging space but we made do. The beds in the room, although only a mattress on the floor, were very comfortable. The bar downstairs had live music a few nights a week. The place is very conveniently located to Yu Road travelling walkway, some great (and very hot!) onsens and many shops and restaurants close by. The included breakfasts were delicious and a little creative. Room Tip: Rooms 1, 2 and 3 are on the lowest level. Others involve more stairs
